Tapered Steel Headtube
The new soul uses a tapered head tube rather than the big 44mm item which features on all our other updated mountain bike frames.

By using different headsets they can use forks with 1 1 8 and 1 1 2 straight steerers and 1 1 8 and 1 1 2 tapered steerers. Traditionally these have been held in pressed cups but modern bikes also see bearings fitted directly into the frame.
